Who skates in the Peoria Speed Skating Club?
Skaters of ALL ages and abilities meet each week on the ice. We currently have skaters ranging in age from 5 to 72. We group skaters by age, and ability in novice through advanced groups. Not every skater in our club competes, though we do encourage and support competition in regional and national meets. We have a skilled group of skaters and U.S. Speedskating certified coaches who are happy to help you achieve your skating goals- competitive, recreational or fitness.
Where and when do we skate?
Our competitive season runs from October through March. However we train throughout the year on and off the ice. We will have ice sessions at the Owens Center throughout most of the spring and summer. We primarily train on the short track ice at the Owens Center in Peoria.
